Senior Pastor Mark and Bobbie Saunders

Pastor Mark grew up in the Waterloo, Iowa area.

He met Bobbie, his wife, in High School and they married while in college. A year later they both graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

They joined Campus Crusade for Christ (CCC) ministry in 1972 working with High School and college students for six years. It was during this time that their first son, Andrew was born.

Upon leaving CCC, Pastor Mark attended Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana. This is where their second son, Robert was born.

When Pastor Mark graduated from Grace, he was called to be the pastor of the Ephrata Area Grace Brethren Church in Ephrata, Pa. He served that congregation for 18 years.

In 2000, God called Pastor Mark to the First Grace Brethren Church in Dayton, Ohio. He has served here for the past five and a half years. His desire is to be the pastor of a church that reaches out to the community. First Grace is becoming that place of worship, personal growth and outreach to the community.

Pastor Ron and Amy Sheranko

After graduating from Penn State Fayette Campus in the Spring of 1988, he moved to Winona Lake, IN to attend Grace College. During his senior year, he met his wife, Amy, who was from Columbus, OH. They both graduated in 1991 and were married in June of 1993.

That fall, Pastor Ron became pastor of the Sidney Grace Brethren Church while attending Grace Seminary.

Andrew was born in April of 1997 and Sarah was born in August of 1999. In December, Pastor Ron resigned from the Sidney GBC and waited for God’s next calling to ministry. That came in the Fall of 2001 in which the family moved to Dayton, OH and Pastor Ron joined the staff of First Grace Brethren Church where he serves as the Youth and Children’s Pastor as well as leading worship.

Pastor Ron also continues to take classes in order to finish his seminary training.

Margie is a native of the Dayton, Ohio area. She grew up, attended school, and raised two sons in the area. Her work experience included 23 years as an assistant in the legal profession and a number of years working for manufacturing companies, as well as non-profit and philanthropic associations. Her sons, Steve and Jeff, were born in 1969 and 1973. Steve is married to Brenda, Jeff to Amber, and they have blessed Margie with granddaughters, Tiffany and Junie, born in 1998 and 2006. Margie assumed the position as Ministry Assistant at First Grace in 2008 and is pleased and grateful to be serving the Lord in this capacity.
